Giveaway - JumpStart 3D Virtual World Subscription

UPDATE: THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED - WINNER ANNOUNCED HERE.

Recently I was given the opportunity to try a subscription to JumpStart’s new Virtual World for kids ages 3-8 found HERE. This is an online adventure-based learning system that teaches math, reading, and critical thinking skills, along with a big dose of fun! You can use the free version, or opt for the subscription which allows you full access to all the 3D Virtual Worlds. Since my kids have owned a few JumpStart software games, I was familiar with the quality content this company offers and I was excited to let the kids give the web version a try!

The games begin with choosing a customizable character. As your child travels through the virtual world, they will have chances to master concepts and earn gems which their character can redeem for all kinds of cool things. Each time your child completes a unit, they receive a badge, and can move on to the next level. Thus the game is never the same twice! As your child learns and progresses, the game moves with them. This gives the web version a distinct advantage over software programs that lose their appeal once the game is mastered.

Parents are kept in the loop too. JumpStart sends emails when your child completes a lesson, along with suggestions for ways to reinforce what they are learning.

My official product testers included of my 6,7, and 8 year old kiddos. The verdict: well put it this way, we now have a chart and a timer by the computer to keep track of whose turn it is! That'd be six thumbs way up!

Here’s the great news: JumpStart is giving one of our readers a free 3 month subscription! Here’s how to earn one entry per household:

~Visit Jumpstart.com, then come back and leave a comment about something you like. Can be anything at all. Be sure I have a way to contact you. If you don’t have a blog, please leave an email address.

ONE EXTRA ENTRY:

~Blog about this giveaway and leave a separate comment giving me a link to your post.

The details:

This giveaway is open until Tuesday, March 17th at 11:59PM EST. Winner will be chosen using Random.org and contacted via email. Winner will have 48 hours to respond or an alternate will be chosen. Good luck!

I like that the Jumpeez world is a lot like the worlds in a game system game. It is very similar! And I like how you can dress up your jumpee in cool outfits (and apparently an eye patch, even!)
