Wal Mart $5 Dinner

We are happy to be part of $5 Dinners, where store sales are combined with recipes each week to save you money!

Today's menu:
Crispy Buffalo Wings, veggies, corn bread and chocolate chip cookies for dessert!

Recipe for Buffalo Wings:
Non-stick cooking spray
2 pounds chicken wings, rinsed and dried
1 stick melted butter
5 oz. Franks hot sauce
1 teaspoon celery seed, optional
1 1/2 cups Betty Crocker potato flakes

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a sheet pan with foil. Spray with no-stick spray.
2. Combine butter, Franks hot sauce and celery seed, if desired, in a shallow microwave-safe dish. Cook on HIGH (100 percent power), 45-60 seconds or until butter is melted.
3. Blend ingredients well with fork. Reserve 1/2 cup of sauce. Place potato flakes in another shallow bowl.
4. Dip chicken into sauce mixture; roll in potato flakes. Gently pat potato flakes onto chicken. Place wings on prepared sheet pan. At this time, the wings can be covered and held for several hours in the refrigerator.
5. Just before baking, drizzle wings evenly with remaining hot sauce. Bake wings uncovered 40-45 minutes or until juices run clear when meat is pierced with a fork.
Makes about 3 dozen wings.

I'm so irritated that I can't seem to find Cascadian Farm products anywhere, why on earth would the coupons be in the local paper if they're not available...*sigh*
At any rate, sounds like a delicious meal
