Each day this week, I’ll be bringing you five different ideas for earning from home. Before pursuing any of these, be sure to do your homework. 1) Telephone Data Collectors – Westat offers $8.25/hr to work from home as a data collector. Details can be found HERE.

2) Sell Instructional E-Books – HERE is a blog loaded with how-to information. Another great blog post is found HERE. I also suggest searching Amazon.com and Ebay.com to see what type of ebooks are selling well. Here are some companies that offer ebook formats:

3) Work From Home Job Listings – here is a list of sites that offer at-home and/or flexible hour job listings:

4) MTurk – work for amazon.com as a mechanical turk. Your job is to perform tasks which computers are unable to do. These are called Human Intelligence Tasks – or HITs. Here are a few examples of HITS you may perform:
~Select the correct spelling for these search terms
~Is this website suitable for a general audience?
~Find the item number for the product in this image
~Rate the search results for these keywords
~Are these two products the same?
~Choose the appropriate category for products
~Categorize the tone of this article
Search through the HIT tasks and choose the one you’d like to do. Each one is listed with it’s pay. Many pay only a few cents but will take you seconds to do. Get more information HERE.

1) Plant Maintenance – if you have a green thumb, this may be the thing for you. Do your homework and be prepared to recommend plants based on client need, research different fertilizers, plant cleaners and tools. Approach business managers, restaurants, malls and physicians offices.

2) Cleaning – if you have relationships with business owners you may consider meeting with them to discuss office clean up during off hours. This will allow you to be home during the day for the kiddos. Another great niche is construction clean up. Construction companies hire services to vaccum, wash windows and prepare residential and commercial new and remodel projects for the client. There is a book on amazon available HERE that gives more details.

3) Babysitting – as a mom, you have a built in resume of child care experience. Spread the word among friends, family and fellow church goers that you are available in the evenings and weekends to care for children so mom and dad can have a break!

4) Research family histories – if you’re a history buff, this might be for you. Check out the ideas, HERE for ways to earn money at this.

5) Build a niche store – HERE is a great post packed with information on how to start this business.
